The Beginning

Born from a Love of Tandoor Cooking

The tandoor is not a piece of equipment. It is a living thing — a clay vessel that breathes, that holds memory, that transforms raw ingredients into something ancient and alive.

We opened our doors in August 2019 with a single tandoor, a carefully crafted menu, and a belief that Portland deserved authentic Indian food that told a real story.

Since opening, we have been proud to serve the Portland community, welcoming guests from all walks of life to share in the warmth of our kitchen.

What We Believe

The Silsila Tradition

Live Fire, Always

Our tandoor burns at 900°F every service. The char, smoke, and speed of clay-fired heat are irreplaceable.

Whole Spices, Ground Fresh

We grind our own spice blends in-house each morning. Freshness is the difference between good and unforgettable.

Sourced with Intention

Our lamb comes from a family farm in Eastern Oregon. Produce sourced from Portland's farmers markets when in season.

Hospitality as Heritage

Atithi Devo Bhava — a guest is considered a form of God. Every person who walks through our door is an honored guest.
